Mate with 2 Rooks — Endgame Lesson

Cut-off Rank: Use one rook to take control of an entire rank, pushing the enemy king back.
Advance the Ladder: Move the *second* rook to the next available rank (or file), one square ahead of the first.
Protect and Repeat: The first rook moves behind the second, protecting it and forcing the king back another step.
Forced Back Rank: Continue the alternating "staircase" pattern until the enemy king is trapped on the last rank (or file).
Deliver Mate: Use the rook on the next-to-last rank/file to deliver the checkmate, as the final rank is blocked by the other rook.
